Thank you, Jack normio6@worldnet.att.net Subject: SANDERS I am the Grandson of an Elmore & Nancy (Lee) Sanders. They moved to Mt. Carmel from McLeansboro Abt 1888. I believe Elmore was a farmer. They had two boys, Obey & James L. Sanders (my Father), both born in McLeansboro. They had a little girl name Lela May Sanders born March 17, 1888 and died a few lears later. I am trying to find out when Elmore died and where he might be buried. Nancy re-married in 1895 to a Marion Boone Smiley in Epworth, Illinois. That marriage certificate shows Nancy was a widow at the time. I would appreciate any information concerning Elmore Sanders, Nancy (Lee) Sanders Smiley, or any Sanders in that area. I know Elmore had a brother James Russell Sanders, who was living in Mt. Carmel also and was killed on the Big 4 Railroad. Elmore also had a brother named Addison Sanders and a nephew named Joseph Leroy Sanders, who also lived in that city.
