Date: Mon, 04 Nov 1996
I would like to find the grave of my ancestor James BARNEY, born ca 1803 and living in
Salem TWP (Edwards), IL in the 1860 census. His wife Susan was buried without him in 1886
in Clay County so presumably he died not too long after 1860. I would also like to find
graves (if they exist) of his parents William & Jerusha (JEFFERSON) BARNEY and his
in-laws Samuel Coles & Elizabeth (BAGS) BESLEY), all of Friendsville. William probably
died 1826 and his wife after. The BESLEY couple were both born ca 1780 so probably died
closer to 1850.
